Contributing to a cause they believe in can create a level of excitement that may be contagious. Explain to the child the contribution they can make by collecting pennies.Just give them a container that is age appropriate so they will have no problem filling it in a reasonale amount of time.They might want to design the container,attach a picture of them with their loved one or request TeamFox stickers to look official. Encourage them to set a goal to have the container filled by a specific date such as Grandparents Day, (Sept. 12,) Halloween or Thanksgiving. No one will be uncomfortable contributing pennies and may even go beyond the request by giving bigger coins or even dollar bills. Incorporating lively dialog and colorful illustrations, Sandi deftly teaches while entertaining. As an educator, I’ve found her books most instructive for many years. Her generosity to Team Fox for Parkinson’s Research is no surprise. It’s simply and extension of her lifelong commitment to helping the people.
