ABOUT

Go. Fight. Win the war on Parkinson’s disease.

Team Fox was launched in January 2006 as a way for The Michael J. Fox Foundation to “give something back” to the heroes all over the country who already had made it their personal mission to find uniquely creative and fun ways to raise funds for Parkinson’s research.  Team Fox provides guidance, tools and resources for the thousands of amazing people all over the world who are walking, running, blogging, jogging, paddling, pedaling, eating, drinking, shopping and dancing to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s research.

In Team Fox’s first three years, members raised an astounding $5 million.  This diverse community of unique changemakers continues to grow and inspire us every day.  There is seemingly no limit to the creativity and optimism with which the heroes of Team Fox set about making Parkinson’s disease a thing of the past.

My father is struggling with Parkinson’s disease. He is no longer able to write beautifully like he used to. It is starting to affect his driving capabilities as well. I would love to have a walk-a-thon/run for Parkinson’s in Utah. How would I go about doing this?

  • Hi, my name is Terry and I’m currently 61 and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2002. I’m also widowed since 1994 so i’m alone. I used to play lots of basketball until I was 55 or so. Thought I was getting old didn’t realize I had Parkinson’s. My greatest fear is fallng but I don’t shake. I don’t have the same enthusiasm as micheal. This is a curse. I just hope they find a cure while I’m young. Yeh young.

    Sincerely,

    Terry

    Dear MJ Fox Member,
My father passed away from PD in March. I would like to host a golf tournament in October to raise funds for the MJFox foundation in his honor. Please email any paperwork or what procedures to follow. I would greatly appreciate it!
    Blessings,
    Kristin Rawls

  • My husband, Gary, only 58, was diagnosed last year. If you look at the website: gdpauction.com, you’ll see he’s an auctioneer. GDP Auctioneer Services has provided their amazing auction expertise exclusively for charity fund-raisers since 1992.
There’s no reason with the Michael J. Fox’s endorsement, that an auction event couldn’t bring in at least $100k. We’d be more than happy to supply our auction services.
We’re located in the Dallas area, but have supplied our services all over Texas; and the Lake Tahoe area.
We’re available and want to contribute to bring a cure to this devistating disease!
