SULLIVAN COUNTY — Although it’s still winter, the recent warm temperatures which melted some snow on front lawns undoubtedly had golfers around the county thinking about getting out on the county’s golf courses this spring and summer.
If those golfers want to support a worthy cause while playing their favorite sport, they should consider that Team Fox invites them to “Pars for Parkinson’s,” a golf outing which will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Parkinson’s is a progressive and incurable neurological disease that affects more than five million people worldwide.
The event will take place on Friday, June 11 at Lochmor Golf Course in Loch Sheldrake.
The outing includes an 8 a.m. breakfast, tee-off at 9:30 a.m. and a 2 p.m. lunch. There will be prizes, awards and lots of fun. Debby and Lou Flancbaum are the Co-Chairs for the event. The couple lives in Teaneck, N.J. and has a summer residence in Loch Sheldrake.
