foxe0013A huge congratulations to our 220 Team Fox ING NYC Marathon runners. You blew us away with your energy, determination and stamina. We are so proud of each and every one of you and incredibly grateful that you chose to turn this physical challenge into a fundraiser on behalf of the millions of people living with Parkinson’s disease. On behalf of The Michael J. Fox Foundation, thank you!

Throughout the day yesterday, we were  thrilled to receive text message from our runners, updating us on their progress. Here’s what they had to say:

- Deborah Meyer: Great day! Saw so many Team Foxers on course. High fived Michael J Fox and then hugged my parents. Ended with a PR!

 - John Fitzmaurice: That was a great race. The TEAM FOX staff did a great job with everything. And I was fortunate to finish with a TEAM FOX member.

 - Gina Pham: what an incredible first marathon!!! The crowds were amazing,   support was strong. Over the moon with whole experience. That’s a personal best! Very happy!

- Phil Sosnow: Twizzlerman finished! On the way to the party!

- Team Fox runner: Great day! Feeling good now. Seeing MJF was the best! HOORAH!

- Team Fox runner: I felt no shame in eating 2 plates of dessert tonight! Thank you all so very much for your encouragement and support! xx Gwen

 - Jeremy Levy:  fun day, after mile 21 was tough. Qualified for boston (barely) 3:09:50. Hope everyone had a good day! Go team fox!

- Barry Cohen: I did ok but I’m far from one of the Shackleton twins. I couldn’t even hold their water bottle.

- Team Fox runner: Thanks so much for your support! Beautiful first marathon experience! Hard very hard but so worth it! Thank you again!

  • Congrats everyone! I don’t run with a phone, so I couldn’t send updates, but it was great seeing the Team Fox cheering sections and miles 7 and 23.5.

  • WOW -what a feeling. My first marathon; seeing Michael just before turning into Central Park gave me more energy than all the power drinks combined and got me through the last leg. 5 hours 22minutes and worth every last painstaking step! Thank you, James

  • The marathon was a blast, and running for Team Fox made it even more significant. The cheering sections were amazing, and there was a lot of support for Team Fox all along the course. Thanks for the opportunity to run for such a great cause.
