Team Fox member Miranda Feldmann came up with the great motto: “Those who can’t run, cheer!” And cheer she will! Miranda has set up a
n official Team Fox cheering section in Brooklyn, at mile 7 of the marathon. Local Brooklyn coffee shop Root Hill Café (262 4th on the Northwest corner of 4th Avenue and Carroll Street) is opening up its corner sidewalk to make room for one of our Team Fox cheering sections. With over 220 runners, running on behalf of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Team Fox needed a Brooklyn base to cheer on these amazing athletes. We’re thankful that Miranda offered to set up and help organize this great cheering section.
We’ll also have an official cheering section set up in Manhattan. From 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., you’ll find us on the west side of First Avenue at East 97th. You can’t miss us – we’ll be in our orange shirts, holding Team Fox banners. We hope to see you there!

Thank you Miranda from a MJFF Board member–that will be great to have another Team Fox cheering section–I started watching from near there when my son, Kyle ran his first marathon last year and it’s a perfect stretch to see people as it’s pretty spread out by that point, but still a long way to go so encouragement at that stage will be wonderful. Thank you, thank you thank you–have a great race day!
