On Thursday, May 7, at 10 p.m. Michael J. Fox will host the hour-long special Michael J. Fox: Adventures of an Incurable Optimist on ABC. The program follows Michael as he travelsacross the globe to explore the enduring strength of hope. He talks to both famous and everyday people, venturing everywhere from the Far East to President Barack Obama’s inspiring inauguration.
We’ll tell you more about the exciting special in the days ahead but we wanted to give you some notice so that you could take this opportunity to host an impromptu fundraising event: invite your friends and family to your home for a viewing party of the special, asking your guests to donate a few dollars to The Michael J. Fox Foundation or contribute to your Team Fox fundraising efforts. We’re pretty sure that after watching this inspiring program with Michael, they may want to throw in a few more dollars!

Michael, you rock! Your driven desire to raise funds toward curing PD is amazing! As I am trying to sit still typing this I realize there is no sitting still for anyone with Parkinsons until there is a cure. We must all move forward ! Everyone ” park” your butts in front of that TV and reach out , reach deep, until we reach everyone possible.
