For the past 3 years, the graduate students of the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center at the University of Oregon have organized the Jog for Jim 5K to honor the center’s founder, Jim Warsaw.
Jim was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in late 1993 and for 16 years, he was the inspiration and energy behind everything the center stands for – passion, integrity and leadership. Tragically, Jim lost his battle with Parkinson’s on April 22, 2009, just a few short weeks before the annual race.
Jog for Jim will go on in Jim’s memory, honoring his life. The race will be bigger than ever because this year Jog for Jim has partnered with the Eugene Marathon and will be a part of all the wonderful weekend events, represening Team Fox.
If you live in the Eugene, Oregon area, please come out and run or cheer on the runners this Saturday, May 2. Your generosity in helping them meet their fundraising goal and honoring their dear friend is greatly appreciated!
