51bbx0crgxl__sl500_aa240_Michael J. Fox’s new book, Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist, hits bookstores tomorrow! Michael’s new memoir picks up where his best-selling autobiography, Lucky Man, left off. Michael writes about the positive perspective that helped him see challenges as opportunities. Instead of isolating himself during the most difficult parts of his illness, he developed a personal policy of engagement and discovery: an emotional, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual outlook that has served him well throughout his struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Michael’s exit from a very demanding, very public arena offered him the time — and the inspiration — to open up new doors leading to unexpected places.

  • I was thrilled to see Michael Fox on Oprah today. He’s been a favorite actor of mine for years and I miss his talents. I was devastated when I learned that he has Parkinson’s but I am thrilled he is fighting and winning. He gives everyone hope. President Obama’s overturning the ban on stem cell research will be a tremendous help in research and more importantly a cure. Today’s Oprah show has helped me learn and understand more about the diseases and it’s affect on patients. I applaud Mr. Fox and the other guests for appearing to educate us. I pray for a rapid cure and your continued success in educating not just the public but those in the position of power to change things to advance the search for a cure.
    God Bless and good luck

  • I was so disappointed that I missed seeing Michael J. Fox on Oprah this week. I didn’t find out about it until it was too late. Can we find a videotaped version of that show anywhere on the web or order a copy of the show?

Michael’s new book is on its way to me through the mail, and I’m so looking forward to reading it. I just finished his previous book, “Lucky Man,” and I loved it. His story is so inspirational.

    God bless,
    Jen
