On Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Constitution Park in Camarillo, California, Jan Bogner hosted the first “Put the Fire out for Parkinson’s Walk.” This walk was in honor of her brother, Jerry Carpenter, who was a Captain for the California Department of Forestry for many years before his retirement, which followed his Parkinson’s diagnosis.
This event was a huge success, raising close to $3,500 for Parkinson’s research — Thank you to Jan and team!
Pictures from the event are available on Jan’s Team Fox web page and also on her Web site, www.PutTheFireOutForParkinsons.com. She is already planning to organize another walk next year, so please continue to check her page for the latest info.
The best part of the event for Jan? Walking the route with her brother.
