Tim Blair (L) finishes the 2008 Antarctica Marathon
On March 10, Skylar Steinman of Bellevue, Kentucky, and Tim Blair of Birmingham, Alabama will race in the Antarctica Marathon to raise funds for Team Fox. According to the marathon’s Web site, Skylar and Tim should be prepared to “come face to face with icebergs, penguins, seals and whales while exploring the most pristine corner of the planet.” Go Skylar and Tim!

Follow up: Finished in 6:05 (ouch-about 2 hrs slower than normal). That was one fabulous marathon – but glad to have it over. I actually had a penguin cross my path during the race. Raising money for TeamFox made this an entirely different event from any other I’ve participated in. It simply felt great to give back and to play whatever small part I can in being part of the answer. Thanks to TeamFox for giving us a constructive outlet for helping fight Parkinsons.
